:: Version 1.3.0 ::
released 16-Sept-2008, expiry 31-Jan-2009
This version has been released in response to NATS discontinuing the publishing of the pre-prepared
preflight information bulletins in their original format in May 2008.
This necessitated a major rewrite of the code to allow the data to be obtained from the new official site.
The opportunity has been taken to make other improvements too. These include:
- Downloaded data is now live and not pre-prepared.
- The File view is now much clearer.
- Attempt is now made to distinguish routings from areas.
- Use of arrow keys for traversing notams and views.
Note that it now requires version 1.6 of the JRE (Java Runtime Environment) in order to support the more complex HTML.
:: Version 1.2.1 ::

Addition of ability to scroll map by dragging with the mouse.
:: Version 1.2.0 ::
released 4-Mar-2008, expiry 31-Jan-2009
This version contains many improvements over the previous one:
- Full interpretation of 'Q' line
- Separate, clearer window to display individual notam data
- Addition of a filter for removing irrelevant data
- Persistence of configurable data, in particular the filter parameters
- Many other cosmetic improvements and minor bug fixes
:: Version 1.1.3 ::
released 1-Jan-2008, expiry 31-Mar-2008
The expiry date has been extended.
:: Version 1.1.2 ::
released 20-Sep-2007, expiry 31-Dec-2007
This release includes a number of minor bug fixes but the main change is that the
validity times in sections B and C are interpreted so that they may be presented
in a clearer format and in local time. In addition the notams are filtered
so that only those that are valid within the next 24 hours are presented.
(This is a configurable parameter.)
The 'Q line' is now parsed for the position data and this is presented in the table
and used for centering the map. The graphic drawn on the map, however is still derived
from the parsed text.
:: Version 1.1.0 ::
released 01-Sep-2007, expiry 31-Dec-2007
The text parsing alorithms have been totally rewritten by hand and now do not rely
on third party lexical analysers and compilers. This has allowed a much more flexible
syntax and has removed the parse error dialogues that appeared before.
This version now requires version 1.5.0 or above of the Java JRE but preferably version 1.6
as this has fixes for a couple of bugs. The NATS html page is presented complete with graphics
and the circles are drawn better.
:: Version 1.0.7 ::
released 12-Feb-2007, expiry 31-Dec-2007
The expiry date has been extended.
:: Version 1.0.4 ::
released 15-Apr-2006, expiry 30-Jun-2006
In March 2006 NATS updated their web site and changed the location of the pre-prepared
bulletins. This version of NotamMap has been updated to point to the new location.
The list of Danger Areas has been updated according to the latest information from AIS.
The expiry date has been extended to the 30 June 2006.
:: Version 1.0.3 ::
released 23-Dec-2005, expiry 31-Mar-2006
This version just extends the expiry date to the 31 March 2006.
:: Version 1.0.2 ::
released 29-Sep-2005, expiry 31-Dec-2005
Another rebuild under J2SE 1.4.2_08 but with version 1.3.2 of
the JGoodies Looks library. There was a bug in version 1.3.1 that prevented it
working with the latest version 10.4 of the Mac OS X operating system.
This version also extends the expiry date to the 31 December 2005.
:: Version 1.0.1 ::
released 07-Jul-2005, expiry 30-Sep-2005
This is just a rebuild of version 1.0.0 under J2SE 1.4.2_08 so that it will run on
machines with earlier versions of the Mac OS X operating system. It will still run
on platforms with the J2SE 5.0 Runtime Environment.
